Well I have not talked to my parents so that portion of my rant is still true and even that will cease for a day when I call my Dad on his 50th birthday next week. I would be a complete _______ not to call on that day.
Anyway much like Michael Jordan, The Ultimate Warrior, Mario Lemieux, and I hope eventually Guns n Roses… All great things must make a comeback. I was actually enjoying not posting anymore but got an email from someone who encouraged me to do so. He was not someone I was expecting to hear from but did anyway. He’s got a ton of people behind him as we are all a part of this crazy group.
I will post more on Friday as I want to write a nice post on the 4th of July. Stop back for all of the great details. Take care.

Rob, I'm glad you are posting again. I missed reading your thoughts everyday.
Linda
Jozz,
Lighten up on the depression, if possible, and enjoy being part of the historic mission that's going on in Afghanistan and elswhere.
The U.S. has asked you to work and you have answered the call.
Congrats on answering that call. So many others wouldn't or counldn't do so.
Come through Texas when you get home and see me at Randolph.
I, too, am proud of your fellow Air Forcers and other branch members who've been placed in harm's way by virtue of answering that call.
We had a change of command ceremony today here. Gen Looney is retiring and Gen. Lorenz is assuming control.
Take care.
Glad to see you're back....I kept checking back just in case, and then finally saw the new post today---you have to keep the Afghan blog going til' the end man :)

Hi Rob,
As I stated in my long email, I have been dealing with some serious health issues of my other half for a couple of months so I've been a little scarce. But he's out of the hospital now and hopefully on the road to recovery.
I've been keeping up with your blogs as much as I could.
I loved the "trash" video. It took me back to when my kids were younger and living at home. When they were little they couldn't do enough to help Mommy around the house. When they were teenagers....not so much. I would set the trash by the kitchen door to be taken out and they would come in and out of that door 10-15 times a day and walk right by it leaving it right where I set it. My husband was just as bad. So that video brought back some memories and chuckles. I also enjoyed all the beautiful photos.
I hope all continues to go well with you. Like I mentioned, if dehydration is the worst of your deployment then I would say that you are doing alright. I continue to keep your health and your safety in my thoughts and my prayers.
I found this piece of news yesterday:
Brooks Orpik Takes 3-Year Deal With Penguins
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Brooks Orpik will be in a Penguins uniform next season.
The Penguins signed the defenseman to a six-year deal for $3.5 million a year.
Orpik, 27, led the NHL in hits and blocked shots during the playoffs.
During the regular season, he was ranked fifth in the NHL with 239 hits.
The doctor has cleared Paul for a little R&R so we are taking a short vacation on the 12th. I'm a bit nervous about it but he's going to be retiring on Aug. 1st and he needs to celebrate something good for a change.
A big hello to your Mom and I'm sorry I've been absent for so long.
Sincerely,
Sher
Sorry Rob, I think I posted twice. I didn't notice the new approval statement. Please delete anything needed.
