Day 80: 15 APR 07

Well limited internet connectivity do to the rain but here is a quick post. I am safe and sound but still in Kabul. Interviewing a 4 star General tomorrow it looks like. I should be back to Bagram come Thursday sometime. Today is neat because taxes are due and I only have 99 days left in country! I also found out I am moving to radio when I get back which is a relief. More to come on that later. I will post a ton more Thursday night because I got to go for now. I just wanted to poke my nose in to let everyone know its all good. O yeah Penguins are up 3 - 0 but I have yet to see one game! Ok got to go. Bye!

Hey Rob,
Here's the headlines today:
Fans Celebrate As Pens Make Clean Sweep Of Ottawa

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Pittsburgh Penguins are now on their way to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The team made a clean sweep of the Ottawa Senators Wednesday night by winning Game 4 with a score of 3-1.

The Pens could now play one of four opponents, the Washington Capitals, the New York Rangers, the New Jersey Devils or the Boston Bruins.

Hockey officials have not yet said when the series will start.

Meanwhile, even though the Pens played in Ottawa, fans gathered to cheer the team to victory right at Mellon Arena. An estimated 2,000 plus fans showed up Wednesday to watch the game on a big screen outside the arena.

"I'm glad they put up the big screen, it was a big surprise the first game, but with all these fans out here it is incredible," said one fan.
