DAY 142: 16 JUN 08

Well I am toast but pushing through so I can fall asleep around 9PM and get back on track. I stayed up all last night and watched Tiger hit that putt on 18 to send it to a sudden death match today. Now after doing my laundry all night I will not have the energy to watch Rocco try to beat Tiger. O well that’s life.

I am beat so this will be short on words and big on media. I will write a book tomorrow. The newscast has my piece in it about Brian Williams. You can see the pictures below as well. The last picture is of me in the field probably back in early March. I recently found it and thought you might enjoy. OK well I need to post this, go back to work and finish something and then hit the hay. Have a good night.

Hi Robbie sorry I havent commented in a couple days just got a chance today to really look over the last 3 days. "you have been a very busy soldier with all the media stuff happening". Im very proud of you you and all your hard work ...Im so glad you were able to meet Brian Williams, I really think he is a good guy with allot of heart. It is really sad that Tim Russert left this world so suddenly but the Lord wanted him and he left a wonderful legacy for all his family ,friends, and associates. The thing that impressed me the most was he knew that God and Family was the most important thing in someone's life on matter what success he incounter over the years and he didnt talk about it, he showed this in his everyday life by his actions. Robbie ALWAYS ALWAYS remenber who you are and where you come from in your everyday life no matter what your successes are or failures ...there will be plenty of both. Your family and loved ones will always matter because all this other stuff will fade away and we cannot take any of it with us.
The wedding was wonderful and you will be very happy to know that your Dad and I behaved like civil adults which was a step in the right direction. Im so proud of your sister ...she told me you said to her that she had to go to the wedding for herself sake but you would like her to represent you also at Zaks wedding and she Did It...So this was a truly wonderful day for so many reasons. The weddidng was beautiful and a wonderful memory made.
Your fathers day post is very nice, The bible tells us to always honor our mother and father and you do that, that comes with a promise that you will have a long life.
I was really into keeping tabs with the US open also for some odd reason, watched a good bit of it on Sunday but very disappointed that Rocco missed it by one....I wanted him to win so bad. Just think how he feels. Oh well he will have to start all over again and try harder and make it happen next time......right.
I was also into the triple crown horse race this year. Big Brown the horse that won the first race and then the Kentucky Derby did not win the 3rd race for the triple crown which made me very sad because his trainer really has a wonderful turn around story about his life so I was really hoping BigBrown would win them all for the trainers sake. He and his wife where on drugs for a long time and his wife was found dead in a hotel room and he had to raise his now 13yr old daughter. He has had alot of ups and downs and is really doing very good now for his and his daughters sake. I love these kind of stories. Did you follow this race ?
Anyway you need to get proper rest now and slow down, I know you said you are feeling better but you need to really slow down and get your proper sleep, love all your pixs you posted.

Got to Go love you bunches - Mom

Hey I forgot to mention the reason I was into the horse race this year was I remenber being at the Kentucky Derby with you and Robin and Gram and Bob for the 2000 DECA competition in Lexingtion Kentucky, (remenber) what a wonderful memory for our family. Gram got real sick after that trip with her heart, and amazingly she is hanging in there 8 yrs later. Robbie God is Good and we have so much to be thankful for.

Love ya mama.
